Tenerife is a major international holiday resort and popular cruise destination. Not surprisingly, although many cruise ships dock and stop by the islands, there is little in the way of cruises that depart from the island.

However, in an amazingly inspired gamble, Airtours, the major Tour Operator normally associated with flights and package holidays, made available a cruise based on the Canarian archipeligo - and this has been amazingly successful. The cruise lasts around 7 days, or more depending on which options you take. It is extremely high value for money and thoroughly enjoyed by all of those that I know have been on it. I will try to find out more, and perhaps a schedule.
