This is general information about Scuba courses for those who want to
know
more. Not all of these courses are necessarily available in Tenerife.
Scuba diving courses normally include.
Scuba Dive Insurance, all of the course materials you will require to complete your Scuba course,
dive equipment and fins (flippers), etc.
Transport to dive sites and boat hire will be provided as required.
They do not normally include Accommodation, which will vary according to dates, standard required, resort and location.

Medic First Aid courses. (PADI)
Courses involve learning the techniques of first aid and resuscitation for diving and non diving accidents.
Classroom based, these are important courses for divers, and in fact, very good recognised courses for
non-divers.
Most combine this course with the Specialist DAN O2 Oxygen Courses,
as they are both a prerequisite for the Diver Rescue courses.
Advanced Open Water 'Plus' Course. (PADI)
A structured, well-supervised, in-water, performance based program. Includes nine dives from the following list
(four if your already an PADI Advanced Open Water Diver)
In addition to dives, all you need to do is be current in CPR and first aid training (i.e. PADI MEDIC FIRST AID) and complete the five dive academic topics - Physics, Physiology, Recreational Dive Planner, Diving Skills and Environment, and Scuba Equipment (from the PADI Diving Knowledge Workbook) to make the grade. After receiving your PADI Advanced Plus certification you can participate in more advanced diving activities to a recommended depth limit of 30 metres/ 100 feet. Parts of the Advanced Plus certification, may apply toward becoming a PADI Rescue Diver and PADI Divemaster, as well as toward PADI Instructor. If you're between the ages of 12 and 14, there's the Junior Advanced Plus programs
Rescue Diver courses (PADI)
Designed to develop the knowledge and skills to effectively perform diver rescues and assist and manage diving
accident situations, rendering proper first aid and qualify for Divemaster training.
PM8. Master Scuba Diver courses. (PADI)
The highest diver level in recreational level Scuba education. Denotes superior achievement and proficiency in dive skills,
experience and underwater activities. You need to be at least 15 years of age and complete the PADI Open Water Diver,
PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or Advanced Plus (or equivalent), PADI Rescue Diver, and any five PADI Speciality
Diver certifications. Or, if you're a PADI Divemaster, complete any five PADI Speciality Diver ratings.
DiveMaster Course (PADI)
Course designed to develop the knowledge and skills to effectively perform diver rescues and assist and manage diving
accident situations, rendering proper first aid and qualify for Divemaster training.
Equipment Specialist courses (PADI)
Theory, principles and operation of dive equipment.
Common problems with equipment and recommended professional maintenance procedures.
(May include a demonstration of repair procedures.)
Simple suggestions for comfortable equipment configurations and an introduction to new equipment.
(Optional trying of new or unfamiliar equipment in confined water may be included.)
AWARE Fish Identification courses (PADI)
Two open water dives, practising fish identification techniques, and the collection of
fish identification data for submission to the REEF Fish Survey Project (if appropriate).
After the dives, you're required to log the experience in your personal log book.
Includes -
1. The Project AWARE philosophy about protecting world-wide aquatic ecosystems.
2. Fish family groupings and common characteristics of fish species found in the local area.
3. Fish surveying techniques and strategies for collecting valid data.
4. The planning, organisation, and procedures for identifying fish families and species while diving.
Boat Diver courses (PADI)
Learn the techniques and procedures for diving from different types of boats (inflatable boats,
hard-hulled day boats, cabin cruisers, live-aboards, sailboats, etc.).
Propulsion Vehicle courses (PADI)
Gain the knowledge and learn the techniques used when diving with an underwater propulsion vehicle.
Includes handling situations such as Vehicle failure and Runaway motor.
Drift Diver courses (PADI)
The planning, organisation, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards of drift diving.
including training on (i) special equipment, floats, lines, reels. (ii) Proper procedures for buoyancy-control,
navigation and communication. (iii) Site selection and overview of aquatic currents causes and effects.
and (iv) Techniques for staying close to a buddy or together as a group.
Enriched Air Diver courses (PADI)
The PADI Enriched Air Diver program emphasises the theoretical and operational considerations involved with enriched air diving.
Additionally, you'll get to go on to training dives during the program.
Multilevel Diver courses (PADI)
See a variety of different types of multilevel dive calculators and learn all of the
techniques and hazards associated with multilevel diving. Decompression sickness theory
is reviewed. Emergency decompression procedures and other safety guidelines are covered,
including the care and maintenance of dive computers.
Night Diver Course (PADI)
During your program you'll go on three open water dives. You'll learn to prepare night dive activities and
develop your knowledge and techniques for safe, exciting night diving.
Peak Performance Buoyancy courses (PADI)
The finer arts of Fine-tuning neutral buoyancy underwater -
Positioning and distributing weight for comfort and desired body position (trim in the water) -
Visualisation techniques prior to dives, Buoyancy checks, Hovering and
Establishing neutral buoyancy during all segments of a dive.
Search and Recovery courses (PADI)
Four open water dives, conducted over at least a two-day period, with academic sessions.
Techniques and application of a variety of search and recovery methods and including
(i) procedures, techniques, problems, and hazards of search and recovery diving. (ii)
(iii) Limited-visibility diving and underwater navigation techniques.
(iv) Proper techniques and safety considerations for object location, including the use of various search patterns, lines and reels.
(v) Proper techniques and safety considerations for recovery of objects using various lifting devices.
Underwater Naturalist courses (PADI)
Consists of basic overview of major aquatic life groupings (kingdoms and phyla).
Factual information that dispels myths of potentially dangerous aquatic life.
An overview of basic aquatic life interactions and associations.
Responsible human interactions with aquatic life.
Diving technique used to help preserve bottom dwelling aquatic life and minimise aquatic life disturbance.
Underwater Navigator courses (PADI)
Apart from techniques and planning, you will learn methods of estimating distances underwater,
natural navigation techniques,
how to use underwater patterns,
dive site relocation techniques, and
compass navigation techniques
Underwater Photographer courses (PADI)
During your PADI Underwater Photographer program you'll go on two open water dives,
which may be conducted in one day. This is where you'll put in to practice the tips and techniques
you learned from your instructor and the PADI Underwater Photographer Manual and video.
Underwater Videographer courses (PADI)
A complete course, covering the selection, maintenance, care and handling of underwater video equipment
Training will be given on safe diving practices while using underwater video equipment. Technical training
includes - (i) Exposure, focus, and maintaining colour with video equipment. (ii)
Shot types, lengths and camera moves.
(iii)Developing a story line and shot sequencing in addition to
the planning, organisation, procedures, techniques and problems of underwater videography.
Deep Diver courses (PADI)
The program includes four open water dives, which are conducted over at least two days.
The minimum depth for the deep dives is between 18 to 30 metres/60 to 100 feet, with no
dive exceeding 40 metres/130 feet. All your dives will be conducted within the no-decompression
limits, with deeper dives conducted first. During your program, you'll cover the knowledge,
skills and techniques needed to dive deep.
Wreck Diver courses (PADI)
Four open water dives, were you'll put in to practice the information you gained from listening to
your instructor and from the PADI Wreck Diving Manual and video. Includes -
(i) The planning, organisation, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards of wreck diving.
(ii) The preparation and use of lights, air supplies, special equipment, penetration lines and reels.
(iii) Limited-visibility diving techniques and emergency procedures.
Nitrox Diving courses (TDI)

Oxygen First Aid courses (DAN o2)
Teaches the advanced techniques of using oxygen for resuscitation and/or life support for both diving and non diving accidents.
Classroom based course for divers and non divers. Most combine this course with the Medic First Aid Course,
as they are both a prerequisite for Diver Rescue course.
Experienced divers who are holiday and simply want to go diving can buy 'Dives only'. These include the tank and weights, but not wet-suits, fins etc. For other variations cotact us using the reservation/enquiry form and use the notes section for your enquiry.
